2024 Dab Kitchen Tour - is this real life?

thestlstonermom

After a year of inconsistent work since my accident, I’ve been working hard to get back to myself. So when Adam from HeadChange invited me to the HeadChange and Good Day Farm 2024 Dab Kitchen Tour, I knew I had to go, even if part of me just wanted to crawl into bed and depression-sleep. Adam, by the way, is one of the most awesome people I know. He also happens to know my childhood friend Kanaan, the owner of The Room Salon and Midwestern Y’alternative in Cape Girardeau. It’s funny how life connects you in these small but meaningful ways.

When I walked in, I was immediately embraced by the familiar energy of the cannabis community. I hugged Adam, said hello to so many faces I hadn’t seen in ages, and even got to sample a few flavors from Airo Brands’ vapes. Everyone was in good spirits, and the vibe was contagious. As I made my way to the deck, Good Day Farms graciously handed out some goodies, which was an unexpected and welcome surprise. But the real excitement for me? The tie-dye table. I was practically buzzing with excitement to make my own shirt—I LOVEEEEEE to tie dye!

Shortly after arriving, I remembered I had been handed a raffle ticket at the door. Honestly, I had almost forgotten about it until, less than 10 minutes in, they called the first winner. I was deep into my tie-dye project, feeling pretty zoned out, when I heard my number—000110. I couldn’t believe it. I’d just won a Puffco Peak Pro. I was mind blown.

Here’s the crazy part: I’ve been manifesting more lately, trying to keep my energy positive despite the ups and downs. Before they even started the raffle, I jokingly thanked the universe for my new Puffco. I’ve always wanted one, but it was out of my budget—let’s be real, they’re not cheap, but they’re fun, and they hit hard. I love collecting all the different cannabis gadgets, and this one was on my list. It felt surreal.

This win came at just the right moment, too. Lately, I’ve been in a bit of a slump with my depression, trying hard to focus on self-care. Just that day, I had made a point to meditate, do my nails, adjust my medication, and spend time with my kids. That morning, I woke up early, brewed my favorite espresso from my Lavazza Classic collection, and wrote as the sun came up. It was a peaceful start to the day, something I really needed to recharge. But still, there’s something about being in a space like the Dab Kitchen Tour, around people who uplift you, that really helps pull you out of the fog.

When I got home, I treated myself to a bit of my gram of Face Melt from HeadChange, and I topped it off with some Mango Mojito flower from Good Day Farms. Honestly, it felt like a dream day, the kind you don’t want to end. Before I left the event, I grabbed a generous sample of Super Boof rosin and floated out the door.

What really brought the day full circle for me was a moment with Cory Sanson. Cory’s someone who has been a guiding light in the cannabis industry for me. His story is beyond inspiring, and he’s always believed in me and my blog. In fact, Cory was the first person to teach me how to dab when I ventured back into cannabis, which was also my first time using a Puffco. I’ll never forget that moment—it was a key part of my journey to becoming The STL Stoner Mom. So, to win a Puffco at this event felt like everything had come back around in the best way possible.

I’m so glad I went to the Dab Kitchen Tour, even though I almost talked myself out of it. It reminded me that even in my hardest moments, there’s still so much joy and community waiting for me. Yesterday gave me a spark I didn’t even realize I needed. I woke up today ready to work, more determined than ever to go after my dreams without apology. I deserve this.

Huge thanks to the sponsors, HeadChange and Good Day Farm, and to the venue for hosting such an awesome event. I’m walking away with more than just some cool new gear—I’m walking away with a renewed sense of purpose.

Stay lifted,

Cecilia, The STL Stoner Mom
