Who Am I?

thestlstonermom

Good Morning or Afternoon,

I guess that just really depends on where and when you are reading this. I have been blogging for a little over a year now and I wanted to introduce myself to everyone who may be new to this blog!

My name is Cecilia! In September of 2020 I reached a breaking point in my life, I had undergone some traumatic medical issues and was working myself to death in a miserable dead end job. I was unhappier than I had been in such a long time and decided that something had to give, I owed it not only to myself, but to my girls as well, to choose myself. At that point I was only certain of two things, I smoked a lot of cannabis and I am a really good mom, in fact I would be willing to argue that cannabis makes me a better mom.

Knowledge in hand, I quit my job and never looked back. I launched a blog and went around telling the world that I was the one, the only, the fabulous STL Stoner Mom. It sucked. Okay I guess that is a bit dramatic, but I learned a lot in the first year. I worked for several companies within the industry before settling on the path of entrepreneur and VP of Sales at a Cannabis Dedicated Marketing Agency. Building a sparkling reputation in a budding industry can be hard, but at the end of the day, resilience and good intentions will always win.

Before launching the blog about cannabis the only thing I really knew was that I smoked. It was thanks to my two first blog interviews with Cory Sanson of Headchange and Adolphus Busch of Teal, that I first even heard the word terpene. So much has changed in that year, lots of laughter, lots of tears, lots of silly videos, but the most incredible thing that has come out of all of this would be the friendships.

I could have never guessed how much passion I would end up having for cannabis and cannabinoids in general. I couldn’t have foreseen that I would spend hours reading, writing, and researching this magical plant. That I would fall in love with something in the way that I had only read about before in stories. Passion is a funny thing.

I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. I have two human kiddos and two fur kiddos, and growing up I wanted nothing more than to run away from this godforsaken state. I wanted to go as far as the wind would take me, now I am here trying to pave a way for my daughters. I am here advocating for other parents who are just like me, for other humans who are just like me. Humans who see the beauty and benifit in plant medicine,     humans who see beyond the propaganda and reefer madness of the world. Look how far we have come!!!

Over the past year so much has changed, my blog will be less opinion focused and more education focused this year. Growth is necessary for change, and there is still so much to be done.

So for Shits and Giggles here are 15 random facts about me:
